Rainbow Buster Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 5, 2026
Summary
Rainbow Buster stores gameplay data on your device and uses Apple and Google services for in-app purchases, ad consent, and advertising. Croy Labs does not run its own account system or gameplay backend for Rainbow Buster.
Data stored on your device
Rainbow Buster stores the following information locally on your device:
- game settings and preferences, including advanced settings you choose
- high scores and local score history for completed runs
- cached purchase state used to remember whether Remove Ads or Advanced Settings is unlocked
- ad and privacy preference state needed to respect your consent choices on that device
This local data is used so the app can remember your preferences, restore your experience, and present your recent game results.
If Record Mode is enabled, gameplay recordings are saved to the app's Documents folder so you can access or delete them through Files or Finder. Rainbow Buster does not upload those recordings to a Croy Labs server.
Purchases
Rainbow Buster offers Apple in-app purchases for Remove Ads and Advanced Settings. Purchase processing, billing, and restoration are handled by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. Croy Labs does not receive your full payment card information.
Ads and consent
Rainbow Buster uses Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform to show banner ads, rewarded revive ads, and privacy choices where required.
Google may receive information such as device identifiers, coarse location inferred from network data, advertising interactions, app interactions, diagnostic data, and performance data to provide, measure, and improve ads.
Apple App Tracking Transparency controls whether the app may use tracking identifiers for ads. If tracking permission is denied, the app still works and may request contextual or non-personalized ads. Rainbow Buster also uses Apple's SKAdNetwork attribution framework.
Your choices
You can remove ads with the Remove Ads purchase. Where Google privacy options are required, Settings includes Privacy Choices. You can also change tracking permission in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security > Tracking.
You can delete local scores, settings, and recordings by deleting the app or manually removing files the app exposes through Files or Finder.
Information the app does not collect directly for Croy Labs
Rainbow Buster does not create its own developer-run account system and does not directly collect:
- your contacts, photos, camera input, or microphone input
- messages or files from your device
- developer-hosted gameplay profiles or cloud saves
- payment card numbers or App Store billing credentials
Data sharing
Rainbow Buster shares data with Apple for App Store purchases and related entitlement restoration, and with Google for ad serving, ad measurement, and privacy messaging when those features are in use. The specific data each provider receives depends on your device, region, consent choices, and whether you have purchased Remove Ads.
Children's privacy
Rainbow Buster is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-operated service. Parents or guardians who have questions about ad-related data handling can review Apple's and Google's privacy materials or contact Croy Labs directly.
Security
Rainbow Buster relies on Apple platform protections and the security practices of Apple and Google services used by the app. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but the app is designed to keep most gameplay data local to the device.
